About Toni
So you want to grow all kinds of vegetables because you want to be healthier? Avoid pesticides and chemicals? Live more sustainably?
All of this?
I’m a Master Gardener and I have a Masters Degree in Regenerative Agriculture from the University of Pennsylvania. I’m also a professor at Rowan University where I teach a class called The Future of Food. For 30 years I’ve been growing fruits and vegetables, raising chickens and cooking right from my own backyard. My mission is to teach as many people as possible how to grow a sustainable garden right in their own backyard that supplements your personal food supply. Yes, I still shop at the supermarket! But as often as possible, I eat what I grow – and you can too.
Gardening can seem intimidating if you’ve never tried it, or perhaps you tried to grow a few things and failed? Don’t worry – you don’t have a brown thumb. You just need someone to break it down into simple steps. Let me help you grow a beautiful garden you’ll be proud of and you can enjoy the incredible feeling of eating from your own backyard!
